Asmus Toys Morgul Lord Sixth Scale Figure Leads The 5 Year Line

Lord of the Rings fans are going to be happily delighted to hear that the latest figure announcement from the small time 1/6th scale figure manufacturer is the Asmus Toys Morgul Lord Sixth Scale Figure. The Morgul Lord is going to be the first of 20 scheduled figures from the Lord of the Rings 1/6th scale figure line.

Asmus Toys has a really elaborate plan for their Lord of the Rings line, planning to make 20 1/6th scale figures and 10 sets of armor. The grand plan is slated to last for 5 years and is dedicated to the deepest lovers of the LOTR.

The project is categorized into 4 different series:

  • Heroes of Middle-Earth
  • Man of West
  • Army of Mordor
  • Armors in the battlefields

The Morgul Lord Sixth Scale Figure will be kicking off the Heroes of the Middle-Earth series, which will contain the important characters such as Arragorn, Gandalf, etc. Each of these figures are going to have a high quality head sculpt, realistic clothing, and mixed accessories. Each figure is also going to come with its own custom display base that can be puzzled together to create a battlefield diorama.

The Man of the West and Army of Mordor series will feature soldiers from both sides of the force. Expect to see characters like Orcs, Urakais, and even Merry and Pippen from these lines.

The final series, Armors in the Battlefields will contain the 10 planned sets of armor that were mentioned above. With these sets of  armor, you can use any figure body you have on hand to create a custom figure at a much cheaper price. Examples of the armors that will be released are Orc armors, Godorian soldiers, etc.
