Amazon Japan have revealed an exclusive Godzilla 2014 Steelbook, which will feature 5 disks, including a 3D Blu-Ray version, normal Blu-Ray version, DVD version of the Godzilla 2014 film, a Blu-Ray disc full of special features, and a Blu-Ray on the sixty year history of Godzilla.
The most important thing about this box set is the fact that it includes an exclusive S.H. MonsterArts 2014 Godzilla. The figure is the same as the standard S.H. MonsterArts 2014 Godzilla figure, though this one was given an all red deco paint to match the included explosion backdrop.
I have to say the paint job looks absolutely brilliant on the figure. It really looks like different shades of red, which makes him look fiery and it looks brilliant. The different shades look fantastic. He’s got brighter shades down his front, feet, neck and spine. The articulation and detail are the same. It’s just the deco that is different.
This set is expected to be released February 25th 2015 and will cost around $142.00. So you have to be quick, as they’ll sell out quick. You can pre-order it now from Amazon Japan and if you are having problems ordering there, you can always pick the set up on eBay.
It looks awesome, but why is the figure red? I don’t remember Godzilla turning red in the movie?
