3A Announces a Destiny Titan Sixth Scale Action Figure, Pre-Orders Start Today!

Toward the end of last summer, Ashley Wood’s company, 3A announced that they would be taking on Destiny in the 1/6th scale. Now that almost a year has passed, the company is finally ready to reveal and put their first figure up for pre-order – the Titan sixth scale figure!

There are actually three different versions of the figure that you can get you hands on depending on where you purchase it. And depending on where you pick it up, it’s going to come with different weapon accessories.

The base figure is going to be the same no matter where you pick it up. It stands about 12.6-inches tall and features over 24 points of articulation. The battle worn Titan also comes with 2 sets of interchangeable hands so the figure can interact with each of the weapon accessories.

First there is the Bambaland Exclusive Edition Titan, which is only going to be able to be purchased at Bambalandstore.com. This version of the Titan comes with the following weapons:

  • Exotic Primary Weapon – Hawkmoon Hand Cannon – Stalk thy prey and let loose thy talons upon the Darkness.
  • Primary Weapon – Shadow Price Auto Rifle – a precision auto rifle left behind by Toland the Shattered.
  • Special Weapon – Felwinter’s Lie Shotgun – a fearsome shotgun forged in fire by the Lords of the Iron Banner.
  • Heavy Weapon – Zombie Apocalypse WF47 – a heavy machine gun ready for armageddon.

Next there is the Bungie Store Edition, which is only going to be able to be purchased though BungieStore.com. This exclusive edition will contain a weapon based on the new Titan sub-class from the forthcoming Taken King Expansion, as well as the following:

  • Super Ability Weapon – Hammer of Sol – Forge the fury of undying suns.

Finally there is the standard retail release, which is going to be able to be purchased just about anywhere that has a wholesale account with 3A. This version doesn’t include the Hawkmoon Hand Cannon or the Hammer of Sol, but instead just the three other weapons that also come with the exclusive editions:

  • Primary Weapon – Shadow Price Auto Rifle – a precision auto rifle left behind by Toland the Shattered.
  • Special Weapon – Felwinter’s Lie Shotgun – a fearsome shotgun forged in fire by the Lords of the Iron Banner.
  • Heavy Weapon – Zombie Apocalypse WF47 – a heavy machine gun ready for armageddon.

No matter where you purchase the Destiny Titan sixth scale figure from, the price is going to be $190. If you get the Bambaland Store exclusive version, free worldwide shipping is already included in the price.

Fans of the game know that there are three possible classes to play – Warlock, Titan, and Hunter. ThreeA is usually a little slow developing their figures, but since they went through the hassle of getting the license to make Destiny action figures, one would expect that they at least make other 12-inch figures of the Warlock and Hunter in the future.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
