SDCC 2014: NECA Announces Pacific Rim ‘End Titles’ Exclusive
Last week, NECA kicked off their San Diego Comic-Con 2014 reveals with and 8″ Super Freddy action figure. This week they have brought something 100x more exciting, a Pacific Rim ‘End Titles’ exclusive box set. Out of all of the SDCC 2014 exclusives revealed so far, I’m anticipating this 3-pack to be one of the hottest exclusives on the show floor. These exclusives are going to be available at the show in the NECA booth, as well as online during the show in very limited quantities. It will be priced at $60, is limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide, and the Jaegers even feature glow in the dark eyes. Here’s more from NECA:
This special edition 3-pack is a deluxe recreation of the end credits for the hit film Pacific Rim! It contains black-colored, high-gloss-finish action figures of Gipsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon, and Striker Eureka, packaged and positioned in the same formation seen in the credits. The 7″ Jaegers also have glow-in-the-dark paint effects on their “visors” (or conn-pod windows).
The background insert and printing on the acetate window utilize the same graphics created by Imaginary Forces in rendering this scene for the film. The window box is covered with a protective slipcover featuring an embossed foil-printed insignia of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps.
