SDCC 2014: Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Jabba the Hutt with Salacious Crumb

Jabba the Hutt may not be part of the cast of Star Wars Episode VII, but he’s going to be joining the cast of Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con 2014 exclusives. Joining one of most exciting 6-inch action figure lines for years, the Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Jabba The Hutt exclusive is sure to make Hasbro’s booth the most popular place at the Con… again.

This 6-inch toy captures Tatooine’s giant slug-like gangster in all his frog-slurping glory, coming complete with his trusty hookah and his sidekick Salacious Crumb. The figures all come packaged in a Star Wars Black Series themed window box, recreating the villains throne room lair from Return of the Jedi, including space for last year’s Comic-Con exclusive toy, a Boba Fett with Han Solo frozen in Carbonite. The box also comes with a little Huttese: “Peecha wangee cogh pah. Tong nam nee took chan kee troi. Soo thawt du mah kee chalia.” This translates as: “I will not give up my favorite decoration. I like Captain Solo where he is.”

This is only the first of many SDCC 2014 exclusives to come from Hasbro. They usually have a full line of exclusives, giving each of their major brands an exclusive that fills up their Comic-Con booth. If you are unable to attend SDCC this year, Hasbro usually sells the remainder of their stock on HasbroToyShop.com several days after the show. Be sure to check out all of the revealed exclusives on our San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusives Checklist.
