McFarlane Toys Have Got The DC License!
Now This is a real surprise!
As we all know Mattel will lose the license to DC Comics next year. We heard that Spin Masters has acquired the license as well, though now it seems they’ll be creating mass market toys whereas McFarlane Toys will be focusing more on the Multiverse style of figures which are aimed at collectors.
I should mention that McFarlane will be producing 6″ and 12″ figures much like they are with the Harry Potter and Game of Thrones license.
They’ll also be producing statues and busts which DC Collectibles do, though I should mention this doesn’t affect DC Collectibles in any way.
There’s been a lot of speculation of how much articulation the figures will have and McFarlane Toys have claimed that these will be articulated figures akin to their Fortnite figures. So fans and collectors have nothing to worry about McFarlane Toys DC multiverse figures.
I should mention McFarlane Toys have rights to comic books, movies, tv shows, and video games. So we’ll be certainly seeing a lot of products from McFarlane that’s for sure!
I don’t expect we’ll be seeing any of these products at Toy Fair later this week but maybe Todd will explain what he has in mind for the line at the show.
