Exclusive Tamashii Nations Sandtrooper comes to SDCC 2016 Star Wars Toy News

Tamashii Nations Brings Exclusive Sandtrooper to SDCC 2016

Ordering Update

You can now pick this figure up through Entertainment Earth for $89.99 (the figure is in stock and shipping), the same price Bluefin offered it for at their Comic-Con Booth.

With all the manufacturers revealing their final San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, I guess Tamashii Nations decided it was time to join them. Their latest figure will be the SDCC 2016 Exclusive Star Wars Movie Realization Sandtrooper Sergeant/Corporal.

Details on the Exclusive Tamashii Nations Sandtrooper

Like the previously seen figures from this line, the Exclusive Tamashii Nations Sandtrooper will be designed to look like a Samurai. The Teppo Ashigaru Sandtrooper will feature exclusive black pauldrons, which indicate that he is under the service of a Galactic feudal lord. Like the regular version, this special SDCC version will also come with two gunpowder type rifles, great for showing off the Empire’s unparalleled shooting skills, as well as a katana. The figure is fully articulate, including numerous flexible parts, enabling you to pose and display your figure in just about any way that you see fit. The figure also comes with a backpack that has a sort of a rustic finish, as well as numerous interchangeable parts, such as 6 hands, and a white pauldron if you’re not satisfied with the black one.

This new collectible will be a ticketed item. Bluefin (or Tamashii USA), who will be offering this Exclusive Tamashii Nations Sandtrooper figure at their booth, has promised additional details. For now, it is known that the figure will cost $89.99, and will be purchasable at their booth.

These figures are known for their high quality and meticulous design so you should definitely check them out regardless of whether or not you’re going to SDCC 2016. If you really want the exclusive version, and can’t visit the Con, Tamashii will hopefully make any remaining figures available for purchase online. In any case, the figure looks amazing and is worth the money. I can’t imagine an entire shelf of these Samurai themed figures not being the highlight of a collection. (Plus, you can pit Spider-Man against Stormtroopers!)
